Heritage Announces This is Our Heritage Competition Winners

On 22 October 2024, Heritage held a prize-giving ceremony, announcing the winners of the social media aspects of its This is Our Heritage Competition.

The competition which ran for two months, received entries in the Facebook Poster Competition, Instagram Video Competition and the TikTok Dance Challenge. Submissions were scored by an external panel of judges with expertise in the fields of graphic design, video production and dance.

Based on judges’ scores, the winners of the video competition were Joshua Subayar – 1st Place; Terri-Lee Audain – 2nd Place; and Afzal Abdul – 3rd Place. Winners in the dance challenge based on judges’ scores were: Cayla Allen – 1st Place; Sabri Bindi Seepersad – 2nd Place; Marcia Mark, Semoi Mathew, Kierra Mark and Nyomeigh Stewart (Group) – 3rd Place. In the poster competition, the winners based on judges’ scores were: Shanna Cruickshank – 1st Place; Carlton Lindow – 2nd Place; and Emmanuel Alexis – 3rd Place.

In total, the This is Our Heritage Competition awarded over TT$130,000 in cash prizes, including TT$32,000 to winners of the Call & Sing Radio segment.

The Hon. Stephen Mc Clashie, Minister of Labour, M.P for La Brea and CEO Erik Keskula addressed the audience. In attendance were also, Penelope Bradshaw-Niles, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries; Sandra Fraser, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries; Mark Rudder, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries; and Everard Bennett, TPHL Board Director.
